I gave this book 5 stars, as I am an avid reader and adore Teresa Gabelman's protector series! Highly anticipated and worth more than the pennies we spend on her books, it was a great addition to the series. I love the way the characters have developed and how new ones were introduced, it leaves room for more to be added to the series and also leaves readers with enough curiosity to pursue additional releases. It is a series that leaves you wanting... more! I love been drawn into a world of alpha males, their mates and the tension of love passion and complex relationships with plenty of humour. I cannot recommend this book and the series enough, I look forward to the future of the VC Warriors and those that surround them. Love your work Teresa!

The Protectors are the first books I've ready by Teresa and I must say.....I love vampires!!! I like the way the books flow form one to the next. I love the bantering that goes on between the warriors....especially Sid....what a goof! These warriors are committed to protecting their own species as well as the humans. Bad guys pop up but are taken care of in whatever means is necessary. ( I think Damon has the right idea...punishment delivered quick. No questions asked!) The love connections between the warriors and their mates is out of this world! To be loved with such intensity as these men have for their women, it's often difficult for their human mates to grasp. It's nice seeing how they work through their differences and issues. Who would've known humans could mate with vampires? The stories are full of emotion and flow well. I can't wait to read "Sloan"! If you think you may want to have a vampire of your own...read the Protectors!
One hot alpha male protector, suspenseful plot and a kick a@* chick make up this book in the Protector series. Jill is a half breed girl and the only female initiate training to be a Protector. Juggling all this she is also facing the facts that her family abandoned her after her forced transition into a half breed and having the hots for her teacher, Slade. To say she's got a lot on her plate would be a huge understatement, but no fear she's got it, because she is just that tough. Slade is the hot teacher slash MD for the Protectors who is slowly coming to the understanding that he is not going to be able to resist the chemistry between him and Jill for much longer. The vicious trader, Alice in the mean time is plotting away and has her eyes set on destroying the Protectors and taking down Jill for catching the eye of Slade. The book flies by way too fast despite it being a full length novel! No real cliffhanger per se but you won't want to miss the next story which the author leads you to believe will be about the Native American Protector, Jax. Lots of hot excitement in this book and it doesn't look to be dulling anytime soon! Would recommend reading the series from the beginning but if you can't resist Slade you could possibly read this book and still somewhat follow along, but again I'd recommend starting from the beginning to truly enjoy what has been a long time coming. )
What a great story and well worth the wait. The sexual tension between Slade and Jill was off the chart and was so glad that Teresa did not make us wait to long into the book before things exploded and then wow. There are parts where I just couldn't stop laughing, especially when the girls were trying to teach Jill how to dance as a stripper and each of the them took a chance and the Warriors reaction to it. The big bad alpha males being lead around by these females is priceless. You will cry a little and laugh a little and do a lot of sighing because some of the scenes are hot, hot, hot. Another great one Teresa, Slade and Jill is a keeper and definitely one you will read over and over. Hoping Jax and Caroline will be next. P.S. Sid is as funny as ever in this one as well.
First let me say, this is my favorite book of the series so far. I loved Slade from the beginning and I came to love Jill more recently, but the combination of the two was amazing. We have all the same characters as before and they all mesh together in a combination that is both hot and hilarious.
This story starts out with Jill and Slade avoiding each other while coming closer at the same time, and I love the fact that the hot sexy scenes did not take too long because we all knew it was going to happen. There is a traitor in the VC council, no one knows who it is, but the warriors are bound to find out and they need Jill to go undercover, the scene where they discuss this is one of the most hilarious scenes in the book, I was laughing so hard I was crying.
Gabelman is one of those authors you love to read because you feel so much better after her books are read. Her characters are very well developed, the world she has created is fascinating, and while there are no real cliffhangers, you are still left eagerly awaiting the next book. I highly recommend the Protectors series and especially this book to EVERYONE!
I just have to start off saying that i love this series and the anticipation of this book was driving me crazy. Since Slade walked onto the scene i have been dying to get to his and Jill's story. And i have to say the loss of sleep was so worth it this book was amazing Teresa did such and amazing job with their story. There were some times that i wanted to slap dr. Mc hottie..but he made up for it. And all of the other Favorites are right in the mix of the story so if you need a fix of one of the other Warriors you will get it. It was action packed and so funny i had to remind myself i was reading while others were sleeping..lol but seriously this book was amazing Jill and Slade have been my Favorite so far and i can only imagine them getting better.. Well done on another amazing book Teresa i cant wait to see what else you have in store of us and our hot warriors!!!
