I've checked on Amazon, Goodreads and even the Authors website and this so called "next book" does not exist! I personally feel cheated and a fool, To have wasted my time on a book, that ends in a "cliffhanger "when there clearly isn't a second book!

Though I thoroughly enjoyed the Author's writing, I WILL NEVER WASTE MY TIME AND MONEY ON ANY OF HER FUTURE WORKS!

I liked it. We change POV between the main female character Violet and the main male character Lucas/Death. I really liked Violet. She is kind of anti-social, a person who works and has no fun and doesn't develop any attachments. I really enjoyed seeing her grow. I got this book for free but I wouldn't have been sad if I had purchased it. I don't see myself interested enough to buy the next one though, sorry Skyla Madi.
Interesting take on what an Angel is. A writers imagination is a curious thing and this writer has imagined an angel quite differently than most people. I have mixed feelings about this story, first as a person who does believe in God I have to admit that the angels in this story are really to far out there for me. The story is very good, but the foul language is more than you would expect to find in a story about angels..........
I wasn't sure I would be into this book until I began reading it and realized I couldn't put it down....very different.....loved the constant conflicted feelings and inner turmoil they went through due to their love for each other and then the end....very selfless act and cant wait for book 2 "Torn Wings" in 2014...thx SM
This was a good read but I wished it was longer. Violet is a kickass heroine that is on the mission to kill her ex-boyfriend Lucas but things don’t play out exactly as she wanted them to.

I felt like some of the past could have easily been played out in the book and would have given the story more substance instead we were just told about it. I felt like I missed out on falling in love and heartbreak. Otherwise a wonderful read.
I liked that this book didn't end with the typical happy ending. There's a cliffhanger and I definitely want to know what happens. I wished that the book explored V and Lucas' time together before he was turned.

I would recommend this book to anyone is looking for something to read as amazing as Consumed. If you looking for a void to be filled, this will do it.

I gave the book five stars because it's good. V and Lucas's story is deserving of that. This story explores the highs and lows of a bad breakup.
Dark Wings rocks!!
I love everything about this book.
The concept and the flow of the story is great! The characters are also cool.
I love how the characters personalities, they are easy to love and they are not boring.
I love how they easily captured my interest, especially Lucas!!
The drama and issue of the story, it's intriguing.
I was intrigue on why Lucas did all the things he' done (being an angel turned demon). And Violet, I love how motivated she was in her mission. Some of the scenes in the story made me crazy, with the witch and Lucas' brothers. AHHH!!
The ending of the story is also good, so far I'm happy with it..
Can't wait what will happen next to Lucas and Violet and if they will find the ending they wanted..

Ms. Skyla did a really good job in writing this book. It's good and interesting.
I'm happy I read this book, great read and worth it.
I will recommend this book to readers who love reading paranormal romance.
At A Glance
I just didn't see the point to this book. Didn't like the male love interest and the ending was so disappointing.

The Good
I gave this two stars instead of one star mostly because it started out good. It felt like any other paranormal romance. The world was amazeballs. The concept felt unique for the angel/demon genre. The plot was pretty good as well.

Violet was pretty kickass in the beginning. I love how she wasn't afraid of fighting bigger and badder things. And watching her having to fight and maybe kill her ex-lover turned demon was hard. I felt so bad for her. I felt her pain.

The Bad
This felt very much like a paranormal romance, but then it got a little distorted and the ending felt off for me. Lucas was such a horrible person and horrible to Violet I just could never get into him. I did like him all cocky and snarky but most of his behavior was such a turnoff. If I can't like the male lead then how can I enjoy this supposable PNR? And I still can't figure out why Violet let Lucas get away with so much. Near the end Violet was whiny and pathetic. Desiring Lucas blurred her focus and I thought less of her because of it. And I don't want to give anything away but I expect a certain kind of ending in my PNRs and Dark Wings did not deliver in that area. Why did I read this whole story to have it end like that? I felt like there was no point to reading this book.

Then, the whole angel council thing was disappointing and annoying. Why would anyone want to be an angel with horrible dictators like that running everything? They were as bad as the demons. I hated not having a side to root for.

The Snuggly
The sexy time was good. Not a lot of it but that was fine. I did feel the long ago and rekindling love between Violet and Lucas. But with how it ended I had to close myself off from this couple. Overall, for a new adult to adult audience.

Final Thoughts
I really saw no reason to have read this story by the end. The technical parts of Dark Wings were fine, I just disliked the characters and the ending too much to find this book worthy. I wouldn't recommend this book to others but I have read Madi's Guardian Angel Series and really liked it. Try that one instead.
