What a great debut novel by Robin Laine!

Unwell is an interesting blend of real life circumstances and sweet romance. Azley goes through a lot of troubling experiences, things that make her close her heart to other men to focus on her own. When her best friend talks her into a night on the town, Azley's future could be redirected.

Evan wants to settle down, but hasn't found the right woman; seems like everyone he dates are just immature girls these days. When he sets his sights on Azley, he realizes that she is more than meets the eye.

The chemistry between Azley and Evan is visible from the start. Evan doesn't give up, his persistence is endearing and romantic, even after Azley gives him reasons to leave. Azley's life is a series of misfortunes, but she never gives up or quits fighting for the life she wants to provide for her son. Together, they're a perfect team. I love Azley and Evan, and really enjoyed watching their story unfold.

Unwell is a touching story with real life issues that are very relatable. Both main characters Azley and Evan have been written so that they grab your heart and don't let go.
Three years ago Azley's world was ripped apart, turned upside down, and disguarded by the one person who was supposed to love the most. Pregnant and all alone Azley does what she has to and brings a beautiful baby into the world. She has no shame for the choices she has made to survive and give her child the very best that she can.
Now three years later Evan is reacquainted with Azley whom he met briefly under very stressful circumstances when her world was shattered. Of course he remembers her and has always wondered what happened to her three years ago.
Not wanting to fall in love after all of the hurt from her past, Azley fights the pull toward Evan as much as possible but eventually realises she is fighting a losing battle. Now that their relationship has progressed, Azley's past that she has no shame about could be the very undoing of everything that she never wanted but now can't live without. Adding health issues to the mix has Azley can't help but feel her life is spiralling out of control.
This is a book about finding courage, and having the strength to find love and trust. Its about knowing who and what you are and never letting anyone change you. It's also about never giving up and rising above everything that can bring you to your knees.
Robin Laine has delivered a spectacular debut book. I am so long forward to reading this authors work in the near future.

I received an ARC, but then bought my own too. This is a debut novel by Robin Laine. I wasn't sure what to expect because either way I told her I'd be honest in my review. I LOVED IT. Very well written.

Azley is fiercely independent and used to doing what it takes to care for her son, and some of that comes back to bite her later. But when Evan comes along he helps lighten her load and becomes her journey.
This is Robin Laine's Debut Novel and what a great beginning to a very promising writing career.

This is a story about betrayal, trust, protecting those you love, and taking control of your destiny. Even though it's a work of fiction, it involves real life situations that have you sympathizing with the heroine and cheering on the man who wants to be her knight in shining armor.
I was fortunate enough to receive an early copy of Unwell from the author. It's hard to believe this novel is Robin Laine's debut. It's so well written with a storyline that will capture your heart with characters that feel like real life.

Azley is a woman broken from a relationship that went sour in the worst way possible. It left her hard, skeptical, untrusting. My feelings for her went from sad, upset, mad and everything in between but I loved her. Given her circumstances, in the end after everything she'd been through, I thought she was one of the most courageous and strong heroines I've read.

Evan...I don't even know where to start. Having met Azley three years prior at the time of her worst nightmare, he sees her again. A savior, a friend, a lover, a man with a heart and that's sexy as sin. I loved him immediately.

We begin their journey as Evan slowly and lovingly helps Azley find what she needs and has been looking for. That's not to say there aren't bumps along the way, there are and they're not small.

No spoilers here. I loved the book, will definitely re-read it. It's a beautiful book full of hope when you think there is none and makes you realize that you can overcome adversity of all kinds. Congratulations Robin Laine...I can't wait for your next one.❤
