First off, let me say that I'm beginning to think of this writing team as the Preston & Childs of teen romance. They're that good together. Dylan doesn't do relationships. After watching his parents marriage blow up when he was little, he and older brother Derrick formed the Gibson Boys pact: No serious relationships and no happily ever after. Ziah is tall, blonde, serious and in a pretty dull relationship with James. Both are top notch students, planning on going to medical school. When James gets invited to a no-costume Halloween party, he talks Ziah into going, but gets delayed by an internship. When she arrives and sees Dylan with his arm curled around his current hook-up, both of them get that electric sensation, but don't want to go anywhere near it. Ziah doesn't feel comfortable at events like this and when she heads for the porch to find a soda. Dylan surprises her. She tuns quickly and his beer soaks her white t-shirt. Her best friend Alyssa, who accompanied her is pretty drunk by the time James shows up. He offers to take Alyssa home and A few weeks later Ziah starts suspecting something happened between them.
As if that wasn't bad enough, Ziah's older sister who was on a career track that had no room for boyfriends, announces that she is getting married. When she brings her fiance home and the two families have a get together at the girls' mother's restaurant, Ziah realizes her sister is going to marry Dylan's older brother, the other Gibson boy who swore off marriage forever.
When Dylan and Ziah are roped into helping plan the wedding, they have a very interesting time learning first how to be civil, then how to confide in each other and be friends. As hard as each try to skirt their growing attraction to each other, neither can avoid the eventual kiss that scares Dylan and leaves Ziah completely confused. It takes a major crisis and emotional meltdown when Dylan's long-absent mother resurfaces for him to become broken enough to let Ziah in and start to heal.
Granted there's some strong language here, but the story and the way the romance is developed more than compensate. Mature teens will savor the romantic tension and the torturous path these two take.

Dizzy eBook Nyrae Dawn Jolene Perry Reviews
This book was good - it definitely kept me entertained.
Lora and Ziah are sisters and Dylan and Derrick are brothers. Ziah and Dylan are the younger siblings and are very close with their respective older siblings. Growing up Lora always told Ziah to focus on school, then her career, then boys. While Derrick told Dylan that they didn't need girls and could always depend on each other. So imagine Ziah and Dylan's surprise when Derek and Lora meet at college and decide to get married. Unbeknownst to any of them, Ziah and Dylan had already met at one of Dylan's parties where they didn't get off to the best start. The story unfolds from there - eventually Ziah and Dylan come around but it's quite the road to get there.
Likes
Ziah - it was fun to get inside her head. I felt bad with how she was treated and was glad to see it worked out for her in the end
The differing POVs - I do like when a book is written in the first person but I also like when we can get the POV on two of the main characters. It's fun to see how they react in the same situation
Dislikes
Lora - in the beginning, I seriously wanted to smack her for how she was treating Ziah. It drove me nuts! I know she was getting married but she shouldn't have totally blown Ziah off
Alyssa and James - Ziah is a much better person than I am because I'm not sure I could forgive either of them
Dylan's phrasing - Sometimes the way Dylan spoke didn't seem authentic to me. Saying things like 'Masta Dylan' just didn't sound like something a 17 year old boy would say. It bugged me but wasn't something that prevented me from finishing or enjoying the book
The end felt a bit rushed - I thought a lot happened in a short period of time and it could have been developed a bit more
Such a great easy read. I just couldn't put it down. Was a great way to spend a lazy Sunday.
Ziah And Dylan was such a great combo min this book. They both complimented each other very well. The chemistry between both of them was instant and you felt it all the way to your toes.
It starts with Dylan throwing a party at his house. He's the path guy that only goes for hook ups with no real connections. And then in the middle of this party the crowd parts and Ziah appears. Ziah completely out of her element at this party is not impressed but catches Dylan eye and a connection begins. As quick as lightning Ziah is out there. As a month or so goes by Dylan just can't stop thinking about Ziah.
They both end up getting news that their siblings are getting married to each other. Dylan & Ziah for completely different reasons are not at all thrilled to have their siblings getting married.
That's when Ziah and Dylan's story really begins. Both of them having relationship issues but can not seem to stay away for each other.
I was quite impressed how the author was able to pull you in and take you on ride of emotions. I rose it to the end.
Such a sweet little love story that finds two people with hurts of their own and able to heal with each others help. I loved the authors writing style and loved being ale to see both Dylan & Ziahs POVs.
Excellent work!
