I really wanted to like this book, I swear I did. I just couldn't get past the 60% mark. The characters were one dimensional and annoying as he!!.
I am an avid reader of erotica but this book was literally all sex and very limited character development. As the story continued the story became more and more far fetched.
And the use of pet names! Omg! They knew each other a few days and were all, baby and honey ALL THE TIME!
I hardly ever not finish a book. And almost never leave such a negative review, but this was terrible.

Come Away With Me With Me In Seattle Book 1 edition by Kristen Proby Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
If you love gushing light romances this is a great read. There is some banter and some light drama but I enjoyed the story and if you've just got done a seriously intense book, this is a good one to recover from that. Some people need love and want to give it times a million and I have met people that are like Luke. Who spoil and cherish their lover to the point of diabetes and I think that's why Jules was created, to break up that mushy stuff with her sassy comments because sometimes you need that break in the lovey dovey. Interested to see what Jules story is all about...
I wanted an easy read, nothing deep, just a frivolous quick fun read but one that still has a story. Unfortunately this book is not that read. It is definitely far from deep. The summary intrigued me but that was the best part of the book. The characters went from zero to committed relationship in mere chapters. There was no building of drama just pulses of irrational male jealousy on the part of Luke. Of course, there was sex. Lots of sex but it got to the point that when a love scene would start, I would skim to the next clothes on portion. I wanted to like this book, I really did. The premise was a good one, albeit an overdone one, but there just was no storyline. I am so disappointed.
As far as sweet, heartwarming romances go, this was a pretty good choice. It was predictable, but enjoyable. I listened to the Audible version and found the narration to be well done as well.
Natalie meets Luke when she is taking pictures early one morning. She is a photographer and he mistakenly thinks that she is photographing him. He tries to get her camera from her, only to find out that he had misjudged the situation.
There is plenty of attraction between the two and a whirlwind romance ensues. Yet, before they can even establish their relationship, they are having problems. After only a day or two together, they're having their first big fight. From that point forward there is drama, drama, drama!
Now, I love stories with a large helping of conflict and plenty of angst. However, you really can get too much of a good thing. The deeper into this story I got, the more I wondered if there was any cliche that hadn't been covered. It felt like the author just started throwing in every over-used plot "twist" that could be thought of, indiscriminately. One or two is manageable, but this was out of hand.
Despite all of that, I did mostly enjoy this story. It was good, even if I spent a fair amount of time rolling my eyes. In fact, the first half was easily a 4-star read for me. Somewhere along the way, it fumbled.
I won't be rereading this one, but it was alright for a one-time listen. Could've been better, but it could've been a lot worse also. This one landed firmly in the "middle of the road" territory for me.
I love Hollywood actor stories, so this was right up my alley. Luke was an actor but he's intensely private and the savagery of the paparazzi and a bad incident with a fan made him feel that the life was not worth the aggravation, so he left Hollywood for Seattle and produces movies offsite. He meets Natalie while she was out taking photographs for her job and mistakes her for a paparazzo, she takes him for a mugger. Once the misunderstanding is cleared up, they strike a friendship that heats up immediately and takes into flash zone. Meanwhile, Luke behaves oddly at times, but gives no explanation. I immediately knew what was going on, but of course, Nat was oblivious LOL. The plot is mostly about getting to know each other and their families. Luke is a little bossy and jealous, and Natalie is stubbornly independent.
IMO, they develop into a hot, lusty relation very fast. They don't know each other very well and are already spending nights with each other. Also, it seems strange that they have been living near for years and never met before. Their banter and love conversations were cute but so cheesy I did a lot of eye rolling. I also had to do a lot of skimming because there was a sex scene almost every two pages of story. Even so, it was entertaining, cute, sweet, cheesy reading that improves the mood because there were a lot of good family feelings circulating around the story, with Luke's parents, Jules, Natalie's roommate, and Jules family.
I thought this story was good but for a few things that bugged me.
1. There was some childish jealously issues with both characters. He gets crazy jealous over her taking pictures of single men (it's her job that she told him about) and she when he was photographed with an ex by paparazzi and saw them on a gossip show (hello...he's a movie star) and believed the story.
2. The I love you came really fast. No build up.
3. I did not like it that the story was told from her point of view and you didn't hear his until the epilogue.
I did like the locations, his parents and her "adopted" family and best friend Jules.
I really wanted to like this book, I swear I did. I just couldn't get past the 60% mark.
